Here you can find a list of tools and things I use to make my videos and projects! Those are affiliate links so by using them you support my work!
3D Printers
BambuLab X1 Carbon
I use this printer with AMS system – it’s great as I do not have to change the filament that often and can print multicolor. The speed and reliability of the printer are at another level. Considering all the features it’s not expensive at all. You can also check out the P1S, it’s almost the same and much cheaper.
BambuLab A1 Mini
A1 mini is the best entry-level printer and it’s sooo fast! It’s also super small so will fit everywhere and there is the AMS system that you can use here too. If you need something bigger, check out the A1 printer.
Flsun V400
This is the only delta-type printer that I have ever had. It’s very big and can print fast. The quality of prints and smart features are not as great on on BambuLab but it’s still a decent printer.
Snapmaker Artisan
It’s a 3-in-one machine (laser, CNC, and 3D printer). It’s huge and very nicely designed. If you need all 3 it’s great but just as a 3D printer, it’s better to go with Bambulab. It comes with an enclosure so it’s nice.
CNC Machines and Lasers
IndyMill CNC
It’s my DIY open-source project! I have been using it for a few years now. A lot of people built IndyMill all over the world. It’s a great low-cost CNC!
3018 CNC
It’s great to start at a low cost but you can’t mill a lot with it. After a few modifications, I am using it to make PCBs for some of my projects.
Epilog Zing
High-quality laser cutter made in the USA. A prize from one of the Instructables contests.
Electronics
Microcontrollers
Raspberry Pi Pico, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi (the SBC computer) is what I use for most of my projects.
Soldering station
I recommend to buy a 2 in 1 soldering station. Mine is already 10 years old and works great. I soldered all my projects with it.
Oscilloscope
Nothing crazy but it’s more than enough for me. I measure all the analog signals and troubleshoot my PCBs with it.
Lab Bench Power Supply
Setting any voltage you want and a current limit is a game changer, and makes it so much easier to power projects or custom charge the batteries.
Soldering Microscope
For some of the smaller SMD components or checking if everything is ok with the PCB. Great tool.
Computers
MacBook Air 2017
I know how old it is but I used it during my university course and still use it for some programming. Sadly it can’t handle 4K editing so I might need to replace it with a newer one soon.
My PC
10 years old and still works well. I edit 4K raw in Davinci Resolve without any problems. Here is more details:
CPU: Intel i7 4790K
GPU: GTX960 4GB
HDD: Seagate 1TB and some others
SSD: 128GB
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G43
RAM: HyperX 2x8GB 2133MHz DDR3
CPU Cooler: Grandis XE1236
Case: Bitfenix Shinobi
Filmmaking gear
Lumix G7
That’s what I use for 90% of YouTube. I would recommend choosing a newer camera if you want to start now.
Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4K
When you think “it looks like a movie” while watching my video it was recorded with this camera.
GoPro Hero 7
Small, durable and decent quality, I am using Hero 7 but 13 is already available!
Sigma 18-35
With a speed booster, it works with Lumix G7 and BMPCC4K. It’s expensive but very high quality.
Deity Vmic D3 Pro
It’s a good mic, I sometimes use Rode VideoMicro as well.
Rode Wireless Go
When you need it wireless. I often use it with the Lavalier microphone from Rode as well.
